Welcome bud.

You need To give us more info so we can assist.
Model of the car is important.

The engine is smoking due to it only having one visible M badge.
Stick another two on the front and it will stop.

Perhaps try big M colored stripes across the hood? Normally fixes everything :tiptoe:

In all seriousness though, if it's a petrol model the valve stem seals are a common issue as previously mentioned

Guys don’t be a-holes. I know what you mean but just try to help. There could be a number of things causing the smoke but most obvious are as follows:
If petrol N/A then could be valve stem seals
If petrol with turbo then could be the turbo
If diesel and if it’s a cloud of smoke with no power then possibly turbo.

Yeah you're right. We get carried away..

Based on OP's other post: https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=88470

The smoking only started after the service.

Could be over filled oil or possible wrong oil (too thin)?

I dont think VS seal will smoke when revving as OP also mentioned...
