When last was the car in for a Service ?

What drive style?

:fencelook: Unhook the caravan and boat and trailer buddy.

These will give you on average from 6.4 to 7.3 l/100kl in the city depending on the drive style and traffic.

on open road from 4.8 to 5.4 l/100km at average speed of 120km/h.

need more info.

And it's supposed to be what, less than 7 combined?

When a car came into the dealership with high consumption, they would do a fuel system recalibration, which normally sorted things out, might be worth doing through a dealership. Obviously make sure that your cats are OK and that there aren't any faults on any emissions or fuel control systems. I say take it to a dealer to give you a fault printout and a fuel system recalibration to start with.

Well i use 50 ppm and is roughly as I posted in previous post

How often do you reset the Consumption meter that displys your km/l ?

Reset of meter km/l
Diesel 50 ppm or 500ppm
When last was it serviced
Diesel Filter
Load carried
Average speed also has influence on the computer to work out consumption
Where do you fill up? Cause there can be mixture of paraffin in?

all related to Consumption issues.

Your car really shouldn't be using ANY petrol.

Lately being resetting every morning.
I have tried both 50 and 500. To empty and refill of course
Car was serviced 2 months ago
Very rarely have a load
Being keeping to speed limit. Have enough tickets
Use Shell service stations

Ok please stop resetting the counter as this is used to calculate the consumption using distance traveled and average speed. Try and only reset the interval at every tank fill up with Diesel 50 ppm. I would not try using 500 in my car though :fencelook:

this will mean that the average consumption is calculated per tank and not per trip, as this stage. If the car was serviced it is not necessarily to say they did change the diesel filter!

Try it for a month and c where you end up.

Where do you reside what area.
