I think all references to the Junkmail ad and the workshop should be removed from this thread. Went there now, 6 cars on the property from what I can see from outside including a white E39 with GP plates, but plenty of garage space and they were all closed. If it's there they aren't putting it on their front lawn. ;) Couple of people milling about there so I didn't want to stay for too long.

:pimp:
I would suggest someone at least go and visit the adress that msm posted, and check it out. It is a spares place so they shouldn't have any suspisions.
I would have gone but its a bit far...

The other option is for Andy to contact the SAPS where he opened the case, and ask them who the investigating officer on his case is, and give him the details as a possible lead, but then, like Andy said, he had to teach them english, so...

I will try calling again tomorrow as well.

Props to you for doing this , maybe someone can go in the morning and check , shouldn't be any suspicion then because well , it is a spare place

It's just ridiculous how you can struggle with Wierdaburg guys, I remember how I struggled in 2009 when the 535 were stolen.:bangdesk::facepalm:

Hi Guys

Maybe this is useless information, but i live in Secunda and there were rumours on facebook that a suspicous white bmw ( only referred to as an old 5 series nothing more specific) had been driving around without plates and had been spotted parked a few places in town. The original post on facebook unfortunately was not the person who spotted the car. Im still trying to find the source, need to get more specific details. This rumour runs hand in hand with 4 houses being robbed this past week and weekend.

Took a drive around town last night hoping to spot something but no luck. Ive spread the word about Andy's car to some Sector Police okes on saturday already so they know to be on the lookout. Its unfortunate that the news on facebook didn't reach them.

I'll post as soon as i get more details.

This is obliviouslly not a random hi jack.
A lot of guys only steal contracted cars, and they probably got a job for your model. And by the pictures it looks like they struck gold.
They probably have been watching you for a while now and timing you.
Most probably the car is sold right now for not more than 10 grand.

The only up side you can think of is that you were not in the car, and that they came for the car and took it without endangering your life.

Just remember what goes around comes around, sooner or later he will meet his maker, and then he will be punished the proper and uncivilised way!!!

Strongs Andy. I almost lost mine a week ago but was lucky enough to get away. Hope they suffer from rat poison these blikzims that can't leave other people's property alone.

Those words in this country are probably more depressing than the loss! Having to deal with 'investigating' officers! How many of them sincerely care once they've picked up a file? How many of them are resourceful enough? Our members here probably did much more in a day than the SAPS would do in a week! How many of them really take on a case with the determination to get rid of crime and reassure the nation that we are heading somewhere?

I know because I have been on a Community Police Forum for some years and there are very few real 'investigating' officers I have come across! Rape and paedophile cases get nowhere, so what is anything else? I have seen community members 'arrest' criminals that the police did not even visit even after 6 months of charges laid.

To some of them, a case is just a number in a file. And, the police forum itself is made up of members who mostly have a vested interest! The 'brilliant' way in which we do things in SA!

No wonder it's so easy to steal someones property and get away with it! Our systems and passion (or lack of it in fighting crime)make it plain conducive for crime.
