Hi Guys, They stole it from our house. Locked behind the gates.
Electric motor was overpowered somehow and I can see damage to the rails the gate runs on. Serious elbow grease to get passed it.
Also the car's driver side lock was already tampered with when I got her back from the panelbeater.
The day I went to fetch it they left the car outside the shop as the owner wasn't there. I could see the a screwdriver makeshift type device had been forced in, in an attempt to jack it. Wasn't there the day before, as the car was still locked inside their shop.
Probably not impossible for them to rob me of it. As they wheel and deal in old beemers and M60 motors mostly.
The shop is called Accident repair Centre, central JHB. 66 Albert street, just off von wieligh.
I reported the case at both Wierda brug and Lyttelton station. The guys at wierda brug are so illiterate I had to teach him to read and wright english. No jokes.
He tells me, "eish this on is not my language I can't write it" and I continue to spell "hear" for him. In context I heard the dog barking, and after a short while went outside to look and the gate was forced open and car was missing.
Despite the other car being unlocked next to it, nothing else was tampered with. Targeted the 540i.
Anyway.
Thanks to all the support so far, Cois, Colin and all the chaps that have phoned :ty:
It's heart breaking losing two cars in 6 months. Insurance is a joke on classics.
