I've joined the forum as I'm considering buying a BMW and found a lot of quality content on this site. So far, my shortlist is 135i, 320d, 120d (F20/30).

I look forward to learning more and buying the "ideal" BMW!

Hi. Welcome. It would depend what you needs are. If you are travelling a lot, the 320d is the best. if you need a weekend blast, the 135i should do it. :thumbs:

At the moment I'm doing a fare amount of distance but that should change in the near future. I suspect that electric cars and infrastructure will be quite common by 2025 (Eskom issues notwithstanding). I'd like a fun drive such as the 135i as my last petrol engined/non-hybrid car.

Fortunately I'm in no rush so it is likely to come down to the best deal I can get.

With the mileage, maybe consider a 330d. Close to the 135 in performance with only a marginal increase on fuel consumption over the 320d. I wouldnt bank on Eskom if I were you. I think petrol powered cars will be in SA for many years to come. :thumbs::thumbs:
