Hello bmw lover's

Ok my first day wasn't sure how this worked but a guy let me know real quick. My name is chris this is my first bmw and looking for some help from some Knowledgeable people. I really like this car it drive's awesome and is very comfortable. I bought it about 1 year ago. I am starting to see why people love them so much. I heard from a friend that this is the place to go. What he didn't tell me was to introduce myself first. I have a 2007 bmw 328i while driving home from work I heard a thud. I stopped the car to find out the alternator bolts snapped off and alternator was just laying there. Again new to this so hopefully my introduction is ok. Please help. I would put pictures up but really don't want to pay for something I k know nothing about. If it is a good forum I'll probably pay for it.

If you are going to do the fix job yourself, then this is a great, free platform with a lot of knowledge.
If you are wanting a shop to do the work, look under the vendor's section and choose a workshop close to you.
It should be easy enough to replace the bolts and refit everything. Question is, why did it come loose in the first place?

Hey Chris save yourself the stress, call a thread butler or fast fix thread etc technician. If the bolt snapped off it might need to be drilled out.

Yes I will be doing the work myself. I take pride in what I do and don't like paying the stealership. Was wondering why it would do this. Would it be a over heating issue because the water pump is good done checked it. Or did someone put a new alternator on and used same bolts and tightened them down to much. Thanks for the reply's.

New user my name is chris and I have owned a 2007 bmw 328i for about a year and a half now. I love my car and I'm starting to see why people buy BMW's. I was hoping I could get some advice on a problem. I went to leave work the other day and my starter bolts all four of them just snapped in half. I checked all pulleys and all is working fine. I do drive the car kinda hard not sure if that and it being 12 years old would be a factor. Or maybe someone changed something and put old bolts back in. I did notice I have a top broke off of one of the oil filter housing bolts. So maybe just heat I'm not sure. This is all new to me with aluminum bolts and everything hope someone can help. Thanks

I got the bolts out myself it was fairly easy. Only took about five mins. Thanks again
