Hi All,

Take a look at the following threat on bimmerfest

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=402950

This is for a recon of the headlights on a E65, and I know mine are desperate need of the same, and from what I notice on the photies from the last meet, some of the other guys need it too.

I know autostyle has got a product, but I dont trust it at all, who does this, and who has had this done, I am too ashamed to show my 7's nose until I get those lights sorted.

Any Idea ?

I might be wrong, but as far as I know, in the good old US of A, all the headlight covers are plastic, but not sure if here the 7's are too. I know US e36 has plastic lenses, while our local bosch is glass. Then again, my e46 has plastic lense covers.??????????????

Plastic lenses car be reconditioned pretty easily. Glass is super hard, rather leave that to a specialist.

+1 on the plastic covers. Glass will take a while longer to sand and the polishing won't always go smooth.

I just curious as to the magnet device to do the inside of the lens. Why would the INSIDE have and damage that needs to be buffed? Either way, it should be neodymium magnets. Those things are wicked strong.

If you have an E65, then you can recon the headlights. If you dont want to do this, then you have to buy the entire headlight assembly as they dont come apart.

If you have an E38 7 Series, then go to the dealer and buy 2 new glass headlight lenses. Remove the old headlights and un-clip the glass lens off them and replace with the new ones...
