Mmmmm M68's .. Favorite OEM wheel

I agree with Moranor, 17's are the perfect size for e46, and apart from smaller rotational mass the M68 is one of the lighter OEM M-sport wheels you can get..

Just remember going 19 or even 18 increases rotational mass thus killing torque and they weigh a lot more.

Also why do you think BMW even released the e46 M-sports and sportpack with stock 17's?
They knew what was best for the e46..

but at the end it's your car bud .. GLWD :=):

Thanks for the concern bud , they was an 18inch option so it should also be okay to run 18's though  . Just need the money now

all im saying is you dont need to drop a boat load on new rims and tires they just one piece of the puzzle to make a car look good... the car i posted up is pretty standard other than the springs :)

you dont need to increase your running costs and lower performance to make your car look good :)

Hi
I'm quite interested as to all my other cars I've dropped with the Konic lowering kits ,However I don't want to actually change the comfotable drive I'm currently getting out off my E46 but would like to have my car lowered as there's quite a big gap between arch and the wheel.
What would I need from factory standard on my E46 to get a drop and look like the silver grey E46 please ?How much will it cost me at a professional place and where in Cape Town ,Please? Sorry for all the questions, tho :ty:

these springs will definitely ride better than Konic :yuck: but they not magic you can expect them to be similar to the BMW sports pack springs... not harsh but firmer than stock...

maybe the CPT guys can tell you what shop to use for fitment... the install is not hard most tire shops should be able to do the install no problem :)

the car above just has lowering springs...

not if the overall diameter is bigger :) less sidewall generally means more consistent performance yes

You could ask BMW..............:roflol:

The sportspack is probably something like 10-15mm lower that the standard e90, with the performance springs probably being a further 5mm lower still. This is a guess of course.

well i did an image search and the exclusive definitely has a larger arch gap than the sports pack looks like a 20mm drop similar to the e46

there must be e90 guys on here that have the info, but maybe hey have not seen the post maybe make a different thread so it can be more easily found and can also help others
