Thank you so much for your support in what we are trying to do here, I think half of the registrations we have so far are from this forum. Quick update- we are on 259 and still counting.
I thought I would also answer some questions that seem to be popping up, and make a suggestion:
The pre-registration is a Guinness requirement when we submit our evidence to them post-event. They wanted to charge us close to R100 000 to get an adjudicator out here, so you can see why we have gone with other routes to get the record recognised. There are many other things we have to tell them and give them too, which will explain why things are going to work the way they are on the day, as you will see when you are there.
The R20 fee is to pay for the participation stickers for your car and the costs we have incurred in admin for the parade. It's not much money but we appreciate you parting with it anyway. The reason we want it upfront is to avoid admin delays on the day, and to make sure we have spent money on people that have committed to making this parade work.
On the day, we have 3 separate entry points onto the circuit for the parade. These also relate to the parking areas that you will be allocated into. I would like to put all the guys that registered through seeing the posts here in once place. Obviously I don't know who you are from your profile names, but if you have registered with us already, please email me the name and surname you registered under, and in the subject line put 'BMW Fanatics Registration'. I will then make sure you are all together in one place.
For anyone who registers after seeing this announcement, please do your normal registration on the website (bmwcarclub.co.za) and then send me the same email straight after.
