Got there very late and could only stay for a few minutes, but from what I saw, top event and the cars, YOH !
Big up to all ...

How's it Gent's

Am very happy with the M5 she made 568bhp bone stock.
The other stock M5 was 499bhp and the silver one with downpipes made 555bhp.

I am stoked:clapper:

Hi bud! I'm the owner of the silver one, made 559.8 with the dps still adapting. 568 is very very impressive though for stock, well done :clapper: What year model is your car? How does it compare to your previous one as I recall that one being modded

Were there any other stock M135i's there?
Would like to compare pneumatic vs ewg versions and other pneumatic ones?

How's it bru.
My car is 2014.
The previous M5 was my boet's.
He made 640bhp with JB only but this was in Dbn.
Did you dyno your car stock?

All good bru! Ah ok cool. I did dyno stock. I made 560hp stock at kar which is I felt was impressive until i saw the 2014 figures lol.

But will go back to kar again and see what the gains from the dp are before jb goes on. Any plans on modding yours? With a stock figure like that,it will surely be something else :cartel:

Here's a read I found about ambient compensation for Turbo cars. http://vwclub.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=93415

I'm a novice at all this, but it seems illogical to me to have ambient correction for turbo cars. Does this not give "misleading and inflated" numbers?

I'm not an expert either, but I have thought about this much.

IMO turbo cars shouldn't have a correction factor applied to them, or they should have a smaller factor added. In fact why not do away with the factors all together, that way you know exactly what your car is putting out. Not a calculated value of what it might produce at sea level.

Anyway probably not the right thread to start this conversation, but my curiosity has been stirred now.
Is there anyone who can shed some light on the subject?

Not really, if your logic was correct, then turbo cars would see no increases at the coast. The whole point of correction factors is too normalise the results irrelevant of altitude or ambient conditions.
We know the turbo cars run higher boost pressures up here to compensate for not having the benefit of dense coastal atmosphere.

Other than mine and Oldman's M235 not sure.

Is your EWG or Pneumatic?

Going back to KAR and HM Auto for new runs, let me know if you want to join?

The +-30% correction factor applied to most dyno's up here still falls short of about 10% of coastal power. Eg. I made 273wkw up here with 30% CF and 301wkw in Dbn at stealths dyno with 0 CF

Hey guys. Sorry couldn't make it last week. Actually went past H&M today to dyno. Ran 275hp and 399nm. Seems on par with what the guys ran last week.
