GP: Race Day, Help needed

Hi Fanatics,

Race Day is just a few weeks away. Being the most anticipated and larger event on our annual calendar, there are many tasks that need to completed.

Tasks required assistance with:
General Setup and Pack-up (Morning/Afternoon)
Race Car Scrutinizing (Morning) (5 People)
Gate Entry/Ushering (8am till 1pm) - This will be split in shifts of 2 people per hour. (10 People)
Time Capturing (2 people on 1 hr Shift basis)

So far, i have 8 staff confirmed to be attending and assisting.

I require 12 more people.

I would like to meet at ODI by 6:45am on the 24 July, (racing starts at 8am) to meet and share tasks and then get the tasks done.

Scrutinizing is from 7am until 10am, usually most of the racers are at the track between 7am and 9am.

Gate Entry is basically collecting money and ushering spectators and VIP spectators. As well as sending the race cars to the pit area.

Time Capturing, the commentator box is pretty small, so im planning to have one person (at a time) capturing and posting times in a whatsapp group where all racers will be added.

Setup/Pack up, basically set up the gazebo's at the entrance and reg table, put up the batters and signs, etc...

I promised my Wife I will spend the day with her but Setup and pack up is before and after so I can get away with that, they are also travelling in a separate vehicle so I can be there quite early

Hi, I have just been at ODI on sunday the 3rd of July for the ST event.

The place is really bad, they have destroyed everything, hence no toilet (portable toilet was provided) no water taps, track with lots of loose rocks.


few things to keep in mind to bring there or do it before:

1. water
2. toilet paper or take a lekker shit b4 you go
3. sun blocks, or gazeble if u have, surprise how winter sun still can burn you

wonder if they can also clean up the entrance play area? it seems like a good open place for some free play there.

Toilets are sorted. We have hired 4 portal portable Toilets with water and janitor service.
