Got Wood? my 330i does

I want to change the finish on my steering wheel from wood to anything else its the M sport steering wheel ...I have 330i motosport step tronic I would like to change the gearknob also from the wood finish ...plain black or silver would be fine .....just not the wood

Post some pics of the steering wheel and the gearnob. If it looks like I think it does I know some people that should be able to help. What trim do you currently have in you car??

Its the same interior as a E46 M3 i think same type of steering wheel the bottom part of the wheel is wood ...i need to get that changed asap ...no pics just yet though

Never understood why they put wood trim in a M3 anyway

why dont you recover or paint your current trim?

Just respray it. I also could not stand the wood trim in mine, so I redid it in Piano black. Not 100% perfect, but I'm happy with it - still beats the wood trim ...

I dotn have the tools or the expertise to spray it im from the keyboard era ..my knowledge is limited to Microsoft Visio ...Please refer me to someone that can help me out ...i cant handle this timber in my car any longer :excited::excited:

If you want to spray you can always just take the stuff to a body shop and ask them to spray it for you, that should yield pretty good results albeit a bit expensive.
