Got lost today...

Had the day off, so went to drop off a BMW part for IanE39 at a hotel.

I was lazy and didn't feel like programming the nav, and promptly got lost in the middle of the Capelands wine district.....

DAMN! I can get lost there again anytime, I had driven about 25Km before I forced myself to turn around and go find the place.

Awesome sunny day, open roads and a big powerfull BMW, directionless in the winelands..... really enjoyed it

I snapped some pics with my cell, but the cell camera doesn't do this beauty justice.

We live in a stunning country, and we so often forget it during our day to day lives.

This is 10 minutes away from my house

I'm not sure what they were burning here but it smelled quite delicious like smoked whatever....

I know the feeling.

I went through to Malmesbury today, and took in some of our beautiful scenery again. I take the backroad between Durbanville and Malmesbury. (Not a big fan of the N7).

Unfortunately I did not have 210kw under my right foot. Instead it was a 4 cylinder turbo diesel. Still, clicking cruise control on 120km/h (as always, the law abiding citizen), I took in the splendour of our beautiful (mostly beautiful) country.

There is a windmill in the centre of the dam!!

There is a windmill in the centre of the dam!!

I saw that windmill right in the middle of the water!

I drove past there yesterday!

I remember a long time ago it was still in working order as in turning... it would look amazing... this windmill turning like crazy in the middle of this dam.

It is such a pity someone doesn't service it, maybe we should put a huge BMW badge on as blades.....

It is sort of showing something and I just can't put my mind on it...
