Gluing the headliner...

Gemken spray avalible at any local harware best to check a small spot first i did my e36 and looked brand new my brother did his e36 and it seeped through maybe i applied less and he applied more ? ? ? check first thou.

How much did you apply to start with? The headliner is still in the car, being held on by the pillars and the sunroof...

well i used about 3\4 of a big can i think it was a 500ml/1000ml i cant remember (2years ago) mmmm mine was not as far as yours i heard their is a guy in cape town that can put a new one in for R850 ?

Doing the liner yourself shouldn't be difficult at all. The trick with fabric and glue is to let the glue become tacky first before bonding and applying pressure. This prevents seepage through the fabric.

I did mine in black suede on the e36, it gets tricky to bond it around the shapes by the sun shields. I used contact spray adhesive and its not easy to do yourself, a second pair of hands is recommended. The c pillars and backboard are simple though, did a headrest and sun blind delete at the same time.

from what i read the process can be difficult. removal from from the car should be ok but the removal of the foam can be a PITA.
