I was so jealous over Cape Town in my Dec/Jan holiday when I saw tonnes of them, they are not so common in jhb!
This is the 3rd white wagon in my family now as both my brother and my dad have '02 525i Tourings. They have so much versatility! What bmw besides an X5 can deliver a stove or washing machine?
You have 5seats when you want them and tonnes of space when you don't. I do however want to get the protective lining for the interior when I go on a scrapyard parts binge, that way I keep the interior clean!!

Gizmo,

I have a set of plastic crate container things that we keep around for going yard hunting in the pathfinder. just make sure they are clean and throw them inside, and stack parts into that.

Cool thing is, if you want go fetch and engine or something large, you turn them over, and you create a false floor, cover that and you are good to go :)

again, nice ride :)

I have so many of those crates I made parts shelves in my garage, zip tied together of course. Those crates aren't big enough when it comes to bumpers, wheels, towbars, gearboxes, diffs, propshafts....

... and no comment on the black stripes...
No, keeping this one stock, stripes are not classy! If I ever did something like that in would be a black/grey checker corner like the E36.
