Have a couple sets of the upgraded Dump Valve the GFB DV+ T9356 for BMW N55 in stock

Howzit Danny.

Any benefits to having the stock one changed to this?

Sound? Performance? I would assume it would hold boost a bit better maybe? I could be assuming wrong as well lol.
Would just like to find out.

The stock ones can fail and rupture causing a boost leak and loss of power

Sound - no difference really
Performance - car will hold better boost levels as this is made from high grade aluminium Vs the stock rubber items

Sorry, I got to disagree with the sound answer here Danny if you don't mind, the GFB DV does emit a "pigeon-like" sound when you let off the accelerator and it comes of boost. Definitely, not "no difference" as mentioned because my car was silent and had a very light "woosh" sound of the turbo only but when i fitted this it definitely added this feature...it actually is pretty decent little addition to the N55 sounds it already makes.

If you have a PWG car...you do feel it holds boost higher up top in the rev range...more than what it originally does...

BUt honestly, I think I enjoy the pigeon sound more   :roflol:
