Getting DP and software today 320d.

@DieselFanBoy - if you still keen me and a buddy meeting up on Friday eve. PM or whatsapp me for location if interested.

Buddy also drives stock GTI 5, but he has an AXX motor and I have the BWA. My car will be mapped on Saturday so we'll do an after as well.

So we had a bit of fun last Friday. To be fair - the road was shit and it was misty as hell...conditions not ideal. Also because of the mist, we agreed to not head to a longer stretch of test track, which I think the BMW needs. On the piece of road we were using, I couldn't even get to the top of 4th :nonono:

But nonetheless - was nice meeting you DieselFanBoy

The Golf had a mild stage 1 added to it yesterday and I drove straight to the Dyno. Car made 170kw & 338nm, boosting at 1bar so I'm very happy:thumbs:

My new tail pieces from pro fit. Making a weird noise at high rpm, like tyres screeching but sounds like air running over something. Going back tomorrow to sort out the noise issue.

Please excuse the dirty car.

Did you remove a box, might just be the fact that the fumes arent sent downwards, Its more noticeable after removing DPF...

No all boxes are there, just the tail pieces was cut off. I recon its because there were almost lumps of metal on the inside of the tail piece and when the flow really gets going the air moving over it makes the noise. I'm not 100% sure but I'll find out tomorrow. It definitely shouldnt be making that noise.

Hi there, so I had a weird problem I hit 230 the other day to see what I could achieve as I had gone up to 230 in my old 320d. Anway as soon as it got to 230 with my foot absolutely flat. It felt as though the car would lose power for a second and kick in again to stay at 230. It happend 3times in quick succession so I lifted my foot off the accelerator and tried again going up to 240 without a problem. What could be the cause of this? I was using Wurth Injector cleaner in my fuel as well. Is it something I should be worried about?

Ok what does a 330d standard do against a GTI. And what happens if I mod a 330d. What results am I looking at.

According to the one website, a 2011 330d lci does 0 - 100 in 6.1 and a golf 7 gti does it in 6.4, so you should beat it stock for stock. And with basic mods on each sw + dp i recon you would take it. But I'm not expert speak to Promotec or one of the other forum sponsors.

But if you mod you will lose your motor plan.

Ultimately figures on paper and figures on the tarmac don't always correspond. I personally think the motorplan should only be void if the part(s) modded is the cause of a claim/problem. Until someone goes to court about it in class action lawsuit I can't see us "revenue streamers" ever getting out of this communistic approach.
