Gerotek High Speed Oval – 13 June 2010
BMW Car Club Gauteng vs. Opel Owners Club SA Challenge
Overview:
Use this chance to legally test the maximum velocity of your performance vehicle in the safety of the oval track. Participants will be allowed one at a time on the banked circuit to go as fast as they like for one flying lap. Multiple Runs throughout the day.
The Challenge:
This is a BMW Car Club Gauteng versus Opel Owners Club SA Challenge.
Similar cars will be grouped in relevant classes for individual prizes.
Top Speeds in certain classes will be aggregated to determine the winning club of the day.
All other makes of cars are welcome on the day but only BMWs and Opels will be entered into the Club vs. Club challenge.

07h00 - 08h00 : Scrutineering/Documentation
08h00 - 08h30 : Drivers briefing
08h30 - 16h00 : High Speed Runs
Cost:
Members: (pay directly into the BMW CCG bank account)
R150 : Registered and Paid Members on or before Wednesday 9 June 2010
R200 : Registration after Wednesday 9 June 2010
Non Members: (pay directly into the BMW CCG bank account)
R200
Non Competitors: (no registration required, pay on the day)
R20 pp at the gate for spectators
R50 pp for passenger runs (remember to bring your own helmet)
MSA Day Permit:
R150 : Pay this on the day directly to the MSA official

Great News! MSA have kindly offered to have an MSA official at Gerotek on the day to sell day licences at a reduced day permit price of R150.
So, if you aren’t a regular competitor and you don’t have a 2010 MSA licence then you can still register for this event and buy a day licence directly at Gerotek.
Annual 2010 MSA licence applications need to be submitted via the MSA Online Licencing System on www.msalicence.co.za. Apply for a 2010 MSA Club Licence under the category: CIRCUIT - MARQUE/FINE and Club: BMW Club of South Africa.
Oval Specifications:
- Three lanes for neutral steering at 60, 90 and 120 km/h, each with the following distance:
60 km/h - 2,97 km
90 km/h - 2,99 km
120 km/h - 3,02km
- Two straights of 400 m each
- Nominal width of straight: 12 m
- One banked turn of radius 295 m
- One banked turn of radius 328 m
- Track completely horizontal
