Hi all, own a 2005 530d m-sport auto trans with 189000 miles on the clock. Bought a year ago. Full service stamped on book. Having gearbox/ engine issue.
The car took a whack from bad van driver. Damaged done was replace front drivers wing ,head lamp repair front bumper.
Since this happen the car is giving trouble.
First notice after getting car back that when the pedal was planted to the floor the car would change gear down and rev to 3000rpm and do nothing. ie lock out no increase in speed or gear change yet would increase speed gradually with no problem.
On way to mechanic problem, disappeared. None the less got following work done...
Full engine service, EGR valve cleaned, IBS lead replaced, restraints warning message reset, blue tooth module disconnect.
Car now more responsive and driving faster than ever.
The gear box oil has now been changed to eratic/ poor gear changes.
2 issues: the gear box now seems to be over active between second and third possible fourth aswell. This happening @ 1500 and 1800 rpm, engine jerking aswell... any help????
