On N54's you can do it as soon as 30000km and on the N55 I recommend from 75000km and up.

What all is done for the clean? Also what is removed stripped to do it.

The clean is conducted with a BMW walnut blasting tool. The intake manifold needs to be removed for the clean to be conducted. Valves and intake ports are cleaned.

I had this done at the Cape Town Carbon Doctor last year. All I can say is great service, great guys, great outcome! The car just runs better, more smooth on acceleration and feels more responsive. Any direct injection engines should really have this done and besides it makes you feel great just seeing the pics of how clean your engine is inside!

The guys in another thread indicated they need a special for carbon cleaning.
Here is the deal. The current retail is at R3500 but we have decided to keep it at R3000 for a while longer. Every member that joins the list for a clean will lower the price by R100 with a cap of 10 cars. Only N54 and N55's qualify.

We can run the list up till May the 10th and then close it. Then everyone who participated can decide if they are in still at the discounted amount reached or we can scrap the idea. Everyone will have to pre-pay and then make arrangements with the Pretoria branch for a booking. I will make a plan and cater for cars on Saturdays and Sundays to get them done asap.
