Besides the main event planners not being around, how do you just impose a date on members without asking what the majority wants?
It's not about pleasing everyone but at least a date that majority have agreed to :dunno:

We discussed this as being four out of the six committee members for events planning in GP... It must also be noted that the N3 to Durban is not closing, so another run can also be planned before and after the proposed dates...

So this is what we decided upon, as the dates currently on poll are too far away...

Not the point I was trying to make, and no need for the snarkiness dude.
Shouldn't the events committee consult with members when deciding on a date? Not decide on a date then see who is available considering this would be quite an interesting run that many would want to be apart of.

Hi Guys!

This is a very exciting idea that has been mentioned and talked about by myself and some other Fanatics. I don't know if this has been done before but it would be absolutely EPIC if something like this could materialise.

Especially the ///M fanatics that are lusting for Coastal power this is the opportunity we all have been waiting for.

So the details that need confirmation are as follows.

Where do we want to drive to.

-Durban
-South coast (margate, toti, scottburgh area)
or any other suggestion.

The motivation will primarily be where all our accommodation will be located and where the final destination will be for us.

So obviously some of us can go visit family or friends and then again meet up for the drive back to GP.

Alternatively we can arrange group accommodation and we can all pitch in and make that happen. 4piper can chip in here.

When will this happen

Also open for debate. But being a difficult event to organise we need a lot of lead time and somewhere that won't interfere with all our regular annual leave/family time.

So ballpark month's, lets say October somewhere? It will be warm and pleasant and lets keep it outside of any peak seasons for traffic.

From where will we depart

This should become clear once we know the other details. Like driving to durbs, staying at xxx hotel for 3 days and then leaving from the hotel parking lot at 9am.

Let the suggestions commence!

Hi i'm Bouts.

Consider Margate. They already have the experience how to deal with this type of event....Harley Davidson. Think abt asking the Prominent BMW dealerships to come on board with safety cars and some road assistance. Good advertising for them....and international exposure for the forum. Consider to invite the "family" on the otherside of the ocean for a near year event. I think this is one ofthe best inisiatives ever. Imagine these cars going through those towns with the local newspapers covering the event.....others brands will follow.

Hey guys, I've had some interest shown in going down to KZN over the Top gear festival weekend 14-16 June. What do you guys think about that?

We could have a smaller roadtrip then and still have a larger event closer to year end?

Private jet like a Citation? Or Bigger Like a Boeing Business Jet VIP configured They have massive bedrooms on board as well. With some ladies joining the event we'll get the party started before we get there.
