folks

just to say that I am a bit disillusioned.

there doesn't seem to be any support for this years charity run at all.

I am not going anywhere for the holidays, got a business to look after until the 24th, and it is a hectic trading time for us now, but I can still make the Sunday event.
I have already purchased
3) Comfort Shiburi (age 7) male
remote control car -- school shoes kids size 13 -- game
Ralf@Speedwaymotor
but it would look terrible if only Dewald and myself and possibly one or two others arrive there.
When compared to the Compass event, this is a poor turn-out

and all because
1)I "suggested" this organization, as there were no other suggestions coming forward
2)Dewald decided to step up and become involved as well, but the support was only in "drips-and-drabs", whereas a last minute call to a "run" for Paul Walker draws a massive turn-out.....???
3)Its the only one that I physically know of in my town
4)And then the NGO status caused many to pull out, to the extent that the largest BMWFanatic group in SA (Gauteng) is basically going to be a "non-event".

I was speaking with a well-known local butchery about sponsoring a few braai-packs, as well as the local newspaper for coverage, but once the thread and support went "south" I stopped pursuing the sponsorship, due to disappointment and lack of enthusiasm on my side.

so....what is happening....IF ANYTHING...this Sunday ?
I don't think I am going to arrive there on my own with a set of gifts for only one of the children.

THE WISHLIST IS 100% COMPLETE !!!!

(Even found a kids learner pad!)

:ty::ty::ty::ty::ty::ty:

Thank you to everyone that contributed and helped prevent this effort from into turning is a black spot for the fanatics.

The final plan is to meet near the house but not in front of it, reason for this I want everyone to be present when we call the kids out. I have spoken to Amanda (house mother i think). They know we are coming however the kids don't know so we can surprise them. There is a big park in front of the house lets meet at on the furthest point away from the house, I will try to be there earlier.

The party will start at 01:00pm we hand out the gifts and then go to get a bite to eat somewhere around the corner.

Address: 21 Olyf Avenue, Edleen, Kempton Park, South Africa

Please bring your own family along if they wish to.
