Of the 3 Gauteng Charity events that I have been to, this one was BY FAR the most heartwarming.

instead of the usual bags and bags of carrots, toiletpapers etc, that would make any "administrator" of the charity locale very happy, this one was special because we actually targeted the individual persons, and gave them what "they" wanted for Christmas.

The excitement on the individual faces as their name was called and given their "own" personal gift, the jumping for joy gave me a lump in-da-throat.

There were still bags of normal supplies as well, especially a massive bag of school stationary, that should see the kids well catered for, for a long time to come, also a lucky packet hamper with sweets and toys within also went down extremely well.

To all that donated, making purchasing of individual gifts possible, to those that bought gifts, hampers, stationary.....thank you all.

I also took a few pictures, but my camera is only half the size of Dewald's, and he seems to be a lot more youthful and energetic to get up onto electric boxes/on his knees/on his back to get some more unusual shots...cannot wait

I will post my few images soon as well.

Im still a newbie to the forum and have missed out on previous runs, so today was my first and I could not have asked to be apart of something greater for a first FANATICS run/event.

Today wasnt about OUR cars, it was about something BIGGER, about brining joy, smiles, laughter and excitement to a few kiddos who warmed out hearts with their broad smiles, shy smiles and total appreciation of the gifts that were given :) Ralf really summed it up nicely with regard to the meeting.

Myself and the family had a good time, was great meeting fellow fanatics for the first time, as well as putting some faces to the nicks. Every single one the guys and gals we met today were all friendly beyond belief, especially considering i was late like a typical indian  but at least it was 5 mins :)

A big  up to Dewald and Ralf for organising the event, your guys dedication is inspiring. Well done to those that ptiched in and pitched up :) but I feel the need to SAY a big thank you to our unsung heros as well, SILENT PARTNERS in business terms :) HERMANBRIEL, GBMW and PETRIVANZYL - your guys big hearts really made a difference today. Waiting to say thanks in person.

"Generosity and kindness doesn't mean that you give only when you have lot or after fulfilling all your needs, but in fact you can still give when you yourself are struggling. Generosity literally means willingness and liberty in giving away ones own money, time, talent and etc sincerely without any personal gain. "

Well done to AA the provinces of this fantastic Fanatics family for pulling off all 3 events successfully. Hope we get to do many more.

To all those celebrating christmas soon, hope you guys have a good one :)

You guys know who the below statement applies to.

True Grit – "It’s an attribute that most people don’t possess. It’s your heart telling you to do something that is right, even though it might be unpopular, or it doesn’t go with the flow. It’s courage under fire. It sometimes makes you stand out among the others. It’s not a learned conviction, its either you "got it" or you don’t. It gives you that extra edge when peer pressure is knocking."
