Perhaps the M4 Competition’s biggest rival is… the M3 Competition. The Coupe costs from just over £76,000 while the more practical saloon costs from just under £75,000. Not a big price difference, but the M3 obviously has greater practicality and after a brief drive I would say it’s just as good to drive. It also has more pronounced rear arches.


as i explained before....you cannot do the conversation and compare like that...lets say we had the looting etc and the Rand weakened by R2 to the Euro...the Price of the car in Euros would not correct...it would remain the same.

The Rand only weakened by R0,50 to the Euro, not R2. That is less than 3%. That should not explain R700.000

i didn't say it did...it was an example...i used to import...so theres a certain amount you work in etc. for potential fluctuations...there was a R4 difference in between shipments that made us decide to not import again. it never corrected ....this was a few years ago...now those car prices in that small period of time did not change to the same percentage...do you understand what im getting at....If i had bought a car for 10 000 Squid at first shipment and the same car for 10 000 Squid at next shipment the price would be very different...you get me guv ...

we pay crazy taxes on our vehicles....there was an article asking for the 40 plus % tax to be reduced.

we also cant import like you can abroad ...if its priced too crazy there you can just import

I see there are some M4's on Autotrader for under R2mil now. Some M3's are getting closer to the R2mil mark and will probably sell at below R2mil. I suppose dealers are realising that the buyers in this segment aren't that blind to over pricing?

Also, anyone know wtf they are trying with the front bumper here? Didn't think it would be possible to make it look worse, but they somehow found a way.

M8 competition factory demo is what I was interested in seeing: 21 model with some boxes ticked (B&W, alcantara roof, carbon ceramics) for a million less than list price… and some wiggle room for no trade in. For the past year it has been “take it or leave it” on prices.
