G20 Display Key

Just wondering whether the display key is an option on the G20. I know you get it for higher up BMW models. If it is an option, which package does it come with?
Besides being able to control some aspects of the car, what are the benefits of the display key over the normal key?
I'm sure you will be able to control the car via the BMW app, so this makes the display key just another larger glass item in your pocket.
Does the display key need to be charged every so often?

I find it useless, everything that you can do with the key you can do with an app. It gets charged wirelessly when you put it on the wireless charger in the car or you can charge it in the house and the battery life depends on how much you use the key. I don't think it is an option with the G20 but I stand to be corrected. Not part of you questions, but there is another key which is useful, the card one. Looks like a credit card and I find it very convenient because you can swim with it and I just keep it in my card holder with my bank cards. Three completely different keys for one car :smilebounce:

Totally agree.I have a Samsung S10 which also has the Key on the phone. Works through NFC. The app also does everything that the key can do, so no real need for it. The key is just a costly extra as far as I am concerned.
