Fuel system cleaner

Good morning fellow fanatics, i recently watch a fifth gear episode that showed that using a good fuel system cleaner improves fuel economy and brings life back into ur engine after loosing a few kw's over the years. im driving a e46 320i and would like to know which fuel system cleaner yous would recommend or does it not matter as they all do the same job?

Instructions on the can...

Just make sure that the Fuel flap on the inside of the cap is open before you put it in, or it will flow out the overflow hole.

I put it in with about 25-30 liters of petrol, makes it nice and strong.

I have Nf injector cleaner R 55 if used every 10 tanks it keeps the system nice and clean...

another good option is NF fuel saver R 90 this treats 300l and you put a little in every tanks it cleans and lubricates your fuel system... also helps clear out carbon deposits inside the combustion chamber

Does this realy work. If it worked Im sure BMW, Mercedes, Audi would sell these products for it will save them money.

I think its been discussed that BMW only care about the vehicles lifetime being about the length of the motorplan..., more problems, more sales.:thumbs:

The product I posted works, and I've used it on all my cars, and still do every now and then, even my 325i.
It removes the damp in the tank that might form, and cleans the injectors, and the entire fuel line system.

Now I am not saying that guys like George from Carbon Doctor will be put out of business by this or any other product, or that this will do the same job as what they do, but I have always found my cars to be running better and smoother with this added.

Ask Frikkieh on the forum about his E90 325 he had, that was giving issues... and how this helped. :thumb:

use the Nf on my own cars and it does work ask anyone who has driven with me how healthy the engine feels... NF is a big part of that

not really the same thing Carbon Doctor cleans carbon build around the valves on direct injection cars...
Fuel additive can only clean where there is fuel...

on a direct injection car (E90 325 is not direct injection) where the fuel does not run over the valves no fuel additive will clean the carbon that a carbon clean removes

I have thought about this a bit and have a question. On some vehicles the fuel pump has carbon bushes. These come in contact with the fuel. Wont this cause premature failure?

the carbon is a very tough substance... without the heat and pressure in and around the engine carbon will not be dissolved

fuel pump does not have these conditions
