Fuel - Do brands differ?

plus i make sure the tyre pressures are correct and no unwanted stuff lying around - that helps :thinker:

i seem to recall shell and bp merging +- 10 -15 years back

i'm sure they are the same company -Engen might also have a bite in this pie - i think when mobil died ? :mmm:

My only requirement for a filling station is that it has to be really busy.

Reason being they cycle the fuel in the underground tank much more often, reducing the dirt and crap at the bottom of the tank.

I am mostly a diesel user, so favour the low sulfar stuff, or 95 for the golf and 540.

But its all much of a muchness i think, as long as you avoid the small little garage with 2 pumps that see's 10 customers a day.

I get more mileage out of my car when I fill-up at Sasol than Caltex. Caltex fuel makes my car ping (well the e36 m3) Also, although most fuel is supplied from the same refineries, its the additives that makes a whole lotta difference!

Polo = Total only garage that i can find low LSD near me
BMW = BP and Total 95 unleaded

SASOL too costly for not much...
