Fuel Consumption on M3 Sedan

What is the general fuel consumption on this vehicle ? I drive mine only on short distances and am getting 17.2 l/100kms...

On daily driving i get 11.6L/100 with the e46 M3 and used to average 11.8 with the ex e36 M3. This is mostly with a commute of 6km sitting bumper to bumper idling most of time and 40km of higway per day.

16 - 18 is about right. Expect around 11-12 l/100 on the longer runs, if driven properly with the cruse control on.

When I had my e46 M I was averaging a combined 16.2l/100km. My 135i with mostly city driving is around 17-18l/100km, but I guess that's because I cant resist the urge to put my foot down robot to robot Couldn't really resist in the M either!

I got it down to 17.1l now. Am getting better at this. :rollsmile:

Does adding NF black help perhaps ?

My E46 M3 avg's about 12L/100km town driving and not nursing it.

My best was driving all the way from Centurion to margate on a single tank :rollsmile:

That gave me 7.8L/100km avg and unfortunately i drove it till the range read 3...2...1 --_-- km left :nonono:

Can't remember the figure, but uplifted about 60 litres if not just over.

Mine sounds abit high then. 15 with only town driving. That drops to 12 if some free was is mixed in. 9 On the open road.

But I take it pretty easy.

Yes, was born with a deformity. The right foot is made out of freaking lead. :rollsmile:

Took her out for her first long distance drive. At a steady 135km/h, she got right down to 12.8L per 100. That is great for me !!!:rollsmile:

Mie would get around 17-18 in town driving, 12-14 on VERY restrained freeway driving and between 20-22 under "enthusiastic conditions".
