There's definitely something wrong with mine, I just got 450kms on a full tank :( the dick head service advisor at Sandton bmw says to me yes but how often do you reset the consumption indicator on the obd?
Like that has ANYTHING to do with how much diesel is using.

Obc indicates 14l/100kms on average :(

The best I've got on the open road is 7.2l/100kms.

The motor plan history shows that the previous owner complained about the consumption aswel, and bmw just keep resetting the adaptions. The car also doesn't go like a 320d should.

Mileage is only on 92k now and unfortunately motor plan has now run out so bmw wash their hands of one more problem.

I'm very disappointed in bmwsa of late, the so called service advisors at dealerships etc and their utter lack of common sense or even general knowledge of their own products.

I told all 3 of the service advisors I've dealt with that the injectors are stuffed and not atomising properly, and all the symptoms etc but guess what, it certainly isn't injectors because the customer can't tell them shit.

To add to that, I started this forum because of my love of the product, but I'm seriously considering other options at the moment.

I did a test today, filled up my car last night, reset OBC, drove from Gansbaai to Grabouw and back, quite normal driving, at times accelerate hard, but not like a maniac, came back, computer showed 18.1km/L, filled up again, took 11.5L and trip meter showed 191.5km. So that comes to 16.65km/L.
Do you guys also experience the OBC not 100% correct.

So I've had my 330d e46 auto for a week now. slow town diving i got 9.9l/100km. I've been driving quite slow. Have no idea what it does on the open road. The motor sounds good. I did oil service yesterday. Filled up R300 bucks this morning then drove up the road to work. 1.9km from the garage. Boosted it little. 14l/100km.

You need to do a decat and EGR delete, mine sits on about 7,5 in local town driving. On the highway it drops to about 4,5 to 5,5 depending on the number of up hills and down hills

I am not too sure if its been decat already. There is a powerpipes sticker at the back. The lady i bought it from said she bought the car with the sticker. Her average consumption was 15.8. Ill try this weekend to do swirl flaps and egr delete.

Open Road - 4,7L/100km
Traffic - 7,2L/100km
Mixed - 6L/100km

e90 320d

This. I get almost the same, my combined is 5,5.

I must also say, that to get an E90 320d to over 7,5 l/100km (combined) over a decent space of time, you need to drive like a maniac, literally.

That is what is so great about the 320d. It is the most well balanced car on the road. The power you get with that economy is amazing. The over-taking power being the most special feature.

Yes, there may be some more economical cars (not many, though)
Yes, there are faster cars.

But show me a faster car at this economy.

That seriously sucks.... is not an option to have the injectors inspected and possibly cleaned..?

Open Road - 5.6 - 6.3 depending on terrain and traffic.
Traffic - 7.5 - 8
Mixed - 7

Not exactly your economy but its damn close for a 1.7 tonne 3L
