As the title of the tread states fuel consumption on my 335 N54 has gone through the roof, used to get 15-16l per 100 km with a fairly heavy foot, all of a sudden this week its jumped to over 21l per 100km with the same driving pattern?? :dunno:

Whats worse car is now a 100% stock as I recently got it back from the panel beaters (who tried to rip me off I might add, but thats another story Ill post once I sort it out with the insurance :thumbdo:).

Any ideas out there that could cause this sudden increase in consumption, car still feels to be pulling ok relative for stock??

I have the same problem! I was at 15-16 and now in 20L per 100!

Which petrol brand do you use? Did you change recently?

Stop your wifes from driving the car!!!
When I drive my 325i, I always avarage 11.5-12.5L/100, but when mommy drives the car for a day it jumps to 14.5-15L/100...

Baracus...sorry to hear about the accident.

Try do a hard reset by disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes. Allow the ecu to relearn original values. This should sort you out. Consumption should settle down to "normal".

Been having the same issue actually, that's why I have been pushing for my car to get serviced.

BMW advised that it just needs to be reset, but it is ridiculous actually.

Does what the car show yo translate into actual, so can you see the difference in consumption or is it just the computer saying so. I can see the difference on mine.

my consumption normally is 20L/100km on a good day :roflol:thats on a good day.

220km to a full tank

I think if i ever see 11 or even 13 than i would imagine my car has turned into a hybrid :biglol:

Disconnect the battery, very good

What milage do you have on the 335? Cause that is very high. Its also a very good idea to go see the carbon doc, and do a full service as well.

WOW.. BybyM3 that 1M of yours is thirsty bro!

My M3 is sitting on 12.5l per 100km.

What the hell is everyone doing? Am I getting too old to drive this car?

Yep definitely think I need an appointment with the Carbon Doc, however am a bit concerned the increase has been so sudden, over the last week or so? I always stick to 95 BP, so definitely not the fuel. Am on 65000km's

Thinking it could possibly be related to injectors, ran a BT check but couldn't find any codes and car is not misfiring?

Probably take back into BM when I sort this sh%t out with the panel beater, didn't have an accident Twinz (thanks for the concern though), just went over a speed hump too fast and damaged my suspension, popped the strut domes. Got the car back from the panel shop and it was making the exact same noise (think the strut bearing) :thumbdo: So took it into BM to check what they had replaced, turned out they hadn't changed most of the parts and had claimed for other items such as brake calipers, fog lamps and bumper grills which had nothing to do with the orginal damage :argh:. Worst than that they hadn't even replaced these, so now having a major fight with the insurance. Won't mention the panel beaters name for legal reasons until I get it sorted (they in Midrand), then will post the story as I dont want any fellow fanatics to go through same sh%t with this crowd!
