Hello to South Africa!I am in the USA and own a 2004 545i.We here have had many issues with oil leaks and valve seals on the n62 engine.I have discovered that SA 545i had engine oil coolers from the factory North America did not.I would like your feed back from 545i owners on this issue.Thank You.Oh ,big Ernie Els fan.

Not really.
I know they like leaking from the valve covers, but never heard of an N62 with valve stem issues...

Hi welcome to the forum .
You can check on www.realoem .com and see the part numbers , you may be able to order an oil cooler and parts if you want to have one fitted .
It seems all the bm's have tappet cover gasket leaks at some time in their life !! We just replace them when needed .

we probably got the oil coolers because its hotter here than most parts of the US...
