Tcal, if they dont let you drive the AMG then nobody can drive it. If they let someone else drive it then it technically goes against the CPA as unfair operation or something along those lines.

So if its a blanket rule and no client at all drives it then they dont have to let you.

Make sense?

re test driving a car

I really dont think they have to let anyone test drive anything.

if you are intending to potentially buy the car, and can afford it, then definately, but if I go to aston martin, there is no way that they would, or should let me test drive a DB9

Correct, they will probably request to screen you for affordability and if you can afford the car then let you drive it. The point is that if a man pulls up in a Veyron they must (according to the CPA) handle his test drive in the same manner (IE screen him too) even though it is obvious he can afford it.

Understand?

Re: test drive

Some dealers will only let any one test drive once finance is approved or cash deposit is put down. I agree with Mike whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

Back to topic. That is a sad site to see, but I'm sure there will be many more.
