I bought my first BMW, its a 323i e90 2006 model, what can be done performance wise and how much more can I get out of the motor

with the price of a supercharger you might as well just sell the 323i and buy a 330i if you want more performance.

If you have R100 000 you can supercharge it and you will get at least 100Kw extra.

or

Spend R190 000 and fit a V8 with a supercharger and it is good for an extra 380Kw


or Sell it an buy a more powerful car.

BMWs in the main do not do well with extra performance as it is expensive per R/Kw.

Whatever you do please do not put a cone filter on the car or a K&N filter as there is nothing to be gained other than worn bores and extra noise.

Welcome to the forum.

If you have cash to mod for power and speed, rather sell and use that extra cash for a standard, more powerful car.

Thanks guys for the input, but I don't have the cash for that kind of big mods, was thinking more along the line of a better exhaust and chip, would that be worth the while? And what would be the best?

Gains on a naturally aspirated car are not really worth your while... You'll get better responsiveness and fuel consumption and maybe a few extra kW... Not really worth it imo

I heard that removing the primary cat will add a few kw, also wanna give the car a deeper voice, which is the best exhaust? Im struggling to upload a picture, it says the file is too big

I also see that there is a 11kw difference between my 2006 and 2008 model, where does it get the extra power?
