So it would seem, it would seem that the bumps on the strut tower might be to big for it to fit, though that is just speculation as I never saw it in person.

I wouls say the studs on my shock towers are too short. T brace mounrings hav been machined to compensate for the "bumps", but the stud length was the determining factor. I took some measurements, before I shipped the brace of course :rollsmile:

I am not too sure what kind of stresses are involved here, therefore with the nuts only grasping 3 1/2 - 4 lines of thread, I decided to rater let it go.

ya no i would not have fitted the brace with the amount of thread the nuts could get... you could have knocked out the bolts and fitted longer ones in...

do you know if you have the rough road package on your car? there are some plates with the package that fit inside your tower... this could be why there is not enough thread...

Possibly, if I could mod it. It has a Sportpack with lowered suspension. Buddy of mine also suggested longer studs.

if you still want to fit one it will be the only way... its quite alot more admin though...
