After driving over 11 and viewing over 20 (of which 90% had some sort of respray somewhere) ...

we found Her 2006 Cooper S, Parklane edition with sunroof and "full buttoned" 3 spoke steering wheel, 60 000kms on the clock.

NO SPRAY WORK EVAR! :inlove:

i just surprised her with it now- lol. i was telling her all sorts of crap about waiting to hear about finance etc still.

What a solid car, Not a single creak or rattle... and with the slightly unique look to all other CooperS's and a pretty cool interior it's Perfect (I just think it needs 17" wheels, looks like it came with 16" as standard)

Pics to follow once she gets back from taking everyone for a ride. lol.
or maybe after a polish soon.

*whispers* not to convince her about that pulley... hehe :fencelook:

other than the smaller wheels... is there anything else about the retro looking Parkland which HAMPERS performance over a normal cooperS ? i mean... isnt it just another cooper S but with different colours and wheels and interior bits?

Yup,it should have the same engine, suspension etc. The only one,by my understanding, that is performance different,is the JCW or the GP.

Small wheels don't hamper performance, they are lighter than the big ones and make the ride nicer. The 17's do look better, but that is about it.

Congrats!, please put the exhaust on, I just want to hear it scream again.

Yeah,
16" = lighter, smaller diameter = better accelleration
17" = better looks, wider tyres = better traction.

I'd say some lightweight 17" with lotsa spokes like OZ spuerleggras would look good on the parklane
