Hello fellow fanatics.

I've been out of touch with the forum for the better part of 5 months or so but I'm back.

Just purchased a e90 330d Motorsport (pics to follow)

Right now i need help with a DIY

So she needed front brake pads in 1500km, decided to DIY after checking threads.

Sensor was still perfect and not damaged so my pads. Took me about 45 minutes with cleaning calipers etc..

So after est drive, all was fine decided to reset brake indicator.

Now red car on ramp is on when starting and switching car off, front brake pad indicator is not showing any km, and red hand brake light says on permanently. Tried driving around and resetting, but when i press reset the animated clock spins and comes back with showing blank km.

Helpppppppppp:argh:

You need a new sensor.

The E90 sensors are different to the E46, they are wear sensors, and wear as they are used so can not just be reset.

You need to replace with a new sensor and then reset. (even if your old sensor hasnt tripped)

If i recall correctly, car has to be off. Then insert key and wait for clock time etc to go away then use stick on the left hold down simnetalously with stick near the rev counter (bottom left) , you need to scroll throught the menu options and reset "red" on lift car.

Not very descriptive but best i could do , google and youtube will explain much better.

For brake sensors you will need new ones put in , in order to get KM readings.
