Hi guys,

Not sure if anyone is into RC racing/drifting or just as a fun hobby.

I used to race when I was back in Durban, and now generally do it with my son for some fun.
Going to attempt to get into drifting but again more for fun then to compete.

I built my latest Tamiya TT01

Here is the complete kit

After a good few hours

Wiring done

Completed unit

Next was to start with the shell

First up was to do the cutting. I did not have the right tools at hand so had to make do with what I had access to

First coat of spray paint

A further few coats

All done with the clear plastic removed

Final product - and it works just fine...LOL

Awesome, nicely done.

For me building the car is really enjoyable, I really need to get my kit out been packed away for years....

Yep the real fun is in the actual build - but do enjoy playing with them as well

I bought both these kits from Denkit Hobbies in Durban. Normally get them when I travel there for work or holiday.
Found them to be the most cost effective for complete kits

However for upgrade parts, I get them from Jix Hobbies in Menlyn

Also invested in one a few months back... Sadly I haven't even used it... Now I have a Caster Racing nitro buggy and HPI Sprint 2 Flux just sitting there....

Maybe we should have a RC Drift car meet?

I also have an off road Traxis which I make more use of as it's more fun to play in sand and mud:=):
