Started my car after two weeks today and I have the flaps unplugged.
Eish this sound is intoxicating at cold start.
Makes your insides rumble.
I think I will keep my M

But now you can only fit 2 stippers in the back and not 3, and they dont have enough "leg room"

Just kidding bud, probably a wise choice, a 7 is not an //M and an //M is not a 7.

Don't get me wrong I do think the seven is a marvelous piece of engineering. I am just shit scared of loosing so much in case it does. According to the salesman the new 7 falls under a category called "luxury" and not "prestige" anymore. He says that is now in the class of Bentley and rolls Royce and will not loose as much as the previous ones. Not sure if that was just sales talk or not.
All I know is that they are increasing in for sale numbers everyday in the auto trader.
That can't help that car very much

Something i learned that helps a lot. Before thinking of purchasing a vehicle phone an appropriate dealer and say you have a vehicle you would like to trade in.Spec will be that of the vehicle you are interested in.See what they suggest it would be worth.
I was actually given a 730d for the weekend a while back to test.Great on technology but actually becomes tiresome after a while.
Performance and economy were good. The let down was when i wanted to load stuff into the boot. You cannot believe that a vehicle of this size has such a tiny bootspace.I mean this is supposed to be a luxury vehicle you can take the family on holiday with.
Keep your F80 there will always be a buyer. :skit:

That's sales talk.

The perception is, its a 7, its going to break, its going to cost a fortune, so I do not want it.

Most people are kak scared of these cars, Depreciation when new or semi new, and maintenance after the fact..

That's fine, cause it means guys like me can afford them.

I just specced on the BMW website my dream 7, base is 1.8m and with modest sensible options, I ended up 2.3m

Will buy the same car in 3 years time for 800k and the same car 2 years after that for 400.. out of plan... we will have to see with this one.

Now your dream should be, a 7 and an //M... if you can pull that off, you have made it in life I would guess..

Yaaaa right.....That's what the doos told me when I bought my X3. "these are very popular vehicles and they're always in demand".... BS right there.

The X3 lost value quicker than the Rand the day after Des was announces as finance minister!!

Nice life problems bud.

That's all sales talk, from the past the 7 has only shown poor depreciation & I highly doubt that's changing. Definitely not in a class of RR & Bentley, maybe he refers to the performance.

Lol. On one hand he's being creative and imaginative with the whole "luxury and not prestige" BS, on the other hand he's showing his ignorance as the depreciation on Bentleys is horrific.

The 7 will Overtake the M.... on the loss... the M will start to float around an Medium High Value.... where as the 7, will start to head towards the Medium Low value...
