F30 tabs on front air vents

Hi Guys,

Can the tab be replaced on the air vent in the center of the of the dashboard just under the screen (this is on a F30 320d)? The silver lining on the tab has started peeling off for some reason. Any advice would be awesome.

That is actually not right... Will heat cause this?

When I bought the car the tab had a small bit of the silver lifting up and it just got progressively worse. Its also only 1 tab so spending a crap load of money to order one from overseas is almost not worth it.

I think I am going to start looking around for cars being stripped for spares. I might get lucky.

Were you successful in getting the air vent tab replaced? I have the same problem as you and I don't want to replace the whole middle vent. My vents are still in excellent condition.

Funny that this topic has come up...was telling Riaad today that all 4 my front vent tabs' silver film started lifting 2 weeks ago so I've pulled them off. Also not sure what to do.
