F30 Msport Conversion

There are aftermarket lips and splitters for the standard bumper, will be your best bet.. I had splitters on my 2012 320d.. Rear diffusers are avail as well.. Rather import that and make the car unique. Never build what you can buy.. If the car was a code3 you are fixing it, it is a different story, that is when it makes sense to do a full rework. My 2c

Each to their own, but M4 kits on the 320i is.. well.. yeah.. Do not do it..

I’m picking up a used BMW Msport Steering wheel tomorrow :D and will look at selling my current one. The Msport one had paddle shifters but unfortunately the seller is keeping them so i’ll Have to source those sometime.

I’m thinking of trying to get R3000 for mine? Do you think that’s an okay price? Will probably end up posting some gumtree ads or OLX.

But I’m really excited :D

This has changed the look and feel of the inside of my car by so much. Absolutely in love with it. It feels much lighter and a lot softer.

And obviously uploading through my phone = sideways picture. Hmm

For my own sake. I have to stop now.

Very nice. I'd say keep the stock wheel and items as when it comes time to sell the car, it may make it more difficult to sell with mixed parts.

So may be ebest to revert to stock and sell thr other parts separately.

My 2c.

I never thought of it that way. Actually thought that most places would be pumped to get it seeing as it was a genuine Msport piece and not some aftermarket crap.

I’ll defo think that through.

Still loving this steering wheel. Wow.

I agree with you, although not everyone is an enthusiast.

Lots of dodgy people and dealers out there and people are often weary when it comes to vehicles as a lemon can become super expensive.

I think their concern would be that the car may have been in an accident and replaced with other parts or something along those lines.

Same with when a vehicle has the rear badge removed, was it in an accident and repaired and the badge never put back - one of my friends has literally queried this when looking at a vehicle.
I know some guys prefer others not knowing what it is or feel it looks better.

So something to consider when it comes time to sell.
The M-sport wheel is sexy though! Glad you're enjoying it

That makes so much sense.

Also thanks for the kind words! :)

Hey guys,

Been a long time. So I done and got my little paddles. Wowza. This fills out my steering wheel so much. :fencelook::fencelook: Unfortunately I've not done the programming + wiring for this.

Does anybody know a guy? Joburg area. I got given a LAN cable connected to a OBDI port and some software but its pretty confusing and the guy who gave it to me wasn't sure if it was working. Luckily it was a bonus on top of him giving me the paddles.

So awesome! If I may ask, how much were the paddles?

Please let us know when you find a place to program and pricing for that too! :D

I bought the steering wheel for about R5000. It was in really good condition from somebody who swapped to one of those racing BMW steering wheels.

I got the paddles for about R1500. A few months later when he decided to sell everything :) A bit more than I wanted to spend but he helped me install all of it and was generally a pretty cool guy. Even gave me the port thing and the software.

I was looking at new ones and they were like R5000 for the paddles and R15000 for the steering wheel so getting it on Gumtree or OLX might be the best option.

I'll let you know if I find somebody to get it done! :D

I've been speaking to Kuvi for a while now. I've really wanted to do something to the outside of my car to make it feel a bit more unique. I think the next on the agenda are the black kidney grills, non-msport front splitters (seen some really nice ones on instagram) and then a new boot spoiler.

The roof looks a little different now. Huge shoutout to KNS Customs.

Simple touches make a difference.

I have a set of full black oem grills if you are interested, it's just laying around collecting dust

Hey guys,

When I started my BMW ownership I didn't have enough insight and so I bought a F30 320D without an msport package. I really want to kick myself for that. The Msport steering wheel and the bumper/diffuser are probably what I'll be trying to change on my car.

Does anybody know what is the easier way of doing an Msport bumper conversion?

and less important getting an msport steering wheel.

Not worth it. Save up and get an ///M spec.
