F30 Msport Conversion

That rules out most aftermarket parts until then.

Worth waiting it out and then making it “yours”

I'd imagine that most of the cosmetic stuff should be fine? I can't see an msport back bumper would be an issue with motorplan? Unless something on the bumper has an issue?

I thought that was the rule of thumb.

It’s best to confirm. Wheels should be fine but dealer approved and installed would be the way.

Dont forget the M-door cards and interior dash and door trim and black interior roof , pillars . Glossy black exterior trim as well . Just adding on the bumpers and skirts will look to much like a mix match to me on such a newish car.

Stick to the standard spec that you have.
Here are the positives:
You will not curb 17 inch rims.
You will unlikely buckle a 17 inch rim.
Your ride quality on 17s and standard suspension is almost like a 7 series. M Sport drivers (me included) secretly envy this but we are too macho to admit it.
You will never have to worry about scraping your undercarriage or your front splitters.
You will same thousands on tyres.
You can take your car up the Sani Pass (a standard spec 320d F30 went up Sani Pass in winter 2016).

My advice - just paint the wheels a nice gloss black, may be with a contrasting Rim Skin or Rim Ring on the wheel circumference.

Tint the windows a bit darker and install some good sound.

Pros always are great to read! :)

I think the owner before me buckled two rims a little. Last month bought a full set of wheels so this month i'll hopefully be sorting out the buckling. (By buckling I mean tiger wheel put it on that machine and said it wasn't perfect).

I think for a full set of wheels - tiger had some huge discounts I paid about R6600 in total for tyres and allignment. Got Michelin pilot sport 4. Really great.

I've been wanting to do the black tyres for a while. I've just heard its a nightmare for touching up as scratching on black paint is not the greatest.

I have a driveway that even my car. Non msport, normal suspension slightly sometimes has an issue getting into my garage. Even worse with people in it.

After some real shopping around. I've gone through all your advice and I'm happy to say I'm really excited with how my car has turned out.

Before: - Boring. Bleh.

After: - Wow! Fast!

Haha

I carried out the m sport conversion a while ago and even added m performance bits, a lot of parts, time, money and effort but worth it

Hahaha, at least the wing is on a RWD car and not a FWD like you often seen.

The 320D is an awesome car... I do agree (owning a 320i Sport Line) that it is a bit on the less exhilarating side of life, but still looks great.

I honestly think it is too much to spend on making the car look like an MSport. As mentioned by the more knowledgeable on this forum, I would second doing some standard mods and a sound system upgrade.

If you want the exhilaration of an MSport, rather go for down pipes, and a new exhaust system to give you a better sound. And if you want speed, go for a JB4.

An Msport kit will only look amazing with the correct suspension and lowering of the vehicle. Going lower, when you say you already have a tight squeeze on your driveway, is not the best.

Sometimes we guys have to think more practically.
