F30 - Mobile phone holder

What do you use to hold you phone whilst driving?

Where do you put it?

Pictures would be great.

Connect to Bluetooth and leave it in the side compartment. Too risky for it to be visible.

I have a Samsung windscreen suction mounted holder.
When in urban areas, my phone stays hidden away in the door pocket. When on the highway, it stays in the holder, so I can select my music and stream via Bluetooth. The holder is on my right side, close to the A Pillar.

I bought the original but I see there are knockoffs all over now. Haven't bought one to compare though.

I got one like this for R40 from a guy on the side of the road - it works well.
My only complaint is that it covers the air vent so in the hot summer days that vent becomes useful when the AC is on.

Also in the cooler days when you turn the heater on, if the vent is open your phone gets warm and toasty before you do.

I got one like this for R40 from a guy on the side of the road - it works well.

They work well. The problem I found with these cheapies is that the rubber or plastic that clips onto the vents is reinforced with wires on the inside. With the movement of putting the phone in and taking it out, they eventually bend and poke out - i got a few scratches on my one vent slat and threw it out. I'm using a windscreen mount slightly above my iDrive

Im based in the UAE, my phone is not at risk being mounted or left anywhere in the car.
In SA though, my phone would be away from thieving eyes so i would not suggest the above mount for continuous use.

I use a Jivo magnetic vent mount from Takelot. Used to work great on my polo vivo but ever since I got the biggest phone apple makes and the F30 330d it never stays on when I take corners or take off hard.

Now I keep it in my left pocket.

Only negative is the loss of a cup holder, but a small price to pay for the convenience.

The other option I have seen is one which mounts INTO the cigarette lighter socket.

Before you buy, let me find the exact one I bought. There a re a few different ones and you want the one with the short neck (which is very 'bendable').

How long do you think that neck is?

I see Takealot have an XL as well as a 20cm neck option, both teh same make as yours.

My phone is a note 5 so it may be a bit on the large side.

I had one in my lol90! Using it in the F30 it blocks to much of the radio.
