F30 m performance tail piece

Hi guys
I would like to know if any of you guys installed the m performance tail piece ? I want to install it but I haven't seen it . If any of you have some pics please post so I can see how it looks .

It cost abt R820 each I had ordered it but still haven't arrived . wid the current stock ones it gets dirty too quick because of it been flared and chromed abit inside the pipe if u no wat I mean

Hi,

BMW quoted me in the region of 10k but I think that was the whole M Performance exhaust upgrade.

I didn't know purchasing the tail piece only was an option. Is BMW fitting them?

yes they are but I ordered mine a month ago it haven't arrived as yet apparently there is a back log also my friend put the back m performance silencer only on his 335 F30 and wow it sounds awesome you get the bubble noise wen its idling and the blip gets louder wen u step on the gas . :thumbs:

Thats what I was thinking, I didnt know that you could buy the tail pipes separately I thought you had to buy the rear boxes. So who does the welding at BMW then ?

I'm also very interested. Fitting a tail piece would require welding right? I'd be surprised if BMW would do this modification to an existing box.

Afaik, there's no welding required for tail pieces, read up a review on n54tech , where they swapped out stock 435i tailpiece for the hi gloss black chrome tail piece instead, it's a slip on .
So basically tap/ knock the old ones off and slip on the new tailpiece .

I am taking the black wid the m engraved on it and yes the old ones slide out and the new 1 slides in, its basically like a cover so no welding of dat sort

I have the M Performance exhaust on my 135, tail pieces have that staggered look and are 40% bigger than stock.

I'm going to enquire about the chrome piece. I think the M Performance tail piece will make the exhaust opening look bigger :thumbs:

was 19k...

My f30 335i is has the MSport exhaust but my tail piesces are black as you guys have seen on my vehicle.

I wanted the tail pieces but was quoted 4k just for the tail pieces...

That's what BMW has told me...

And I enquired at 2 BMW dealerships...
