f30 connected drive - music playing

Hi Guys

When i stream music via bluetooth i dont seem to have an issue.

When i connect my iphone with the cable so that the album artwork displays, etc it sometimes works fine but other times it freezes with the artwork of the first song played and you can only change songs by skipping on the phone.

Does anyone else have this issue? I have the 40 year anniversary edition

Maybe try using the Bmw Y cable and see if this solves the issue. I also had issues using a non oem apple cable. Works seamlessly with oem apple cable

Mine works with cable quite well, I have you checked for software updates ? I updated my idrive software recently it went well everything is running smoothly

My last update was probably done in Dec/Jan, last time i checked there wasnt anything newer but ill take a look again @Quick///M, thanks for the tip though

Cool. 1st try the oem apple cable, if you don't come right you can get the y cable from hd cabling

thanks @32fiver , iv actually bought something from them before. they were the only people i could get a 30m hdmi cable from in 2010.

Wouldve just bought this ycable instead of the energizer cable i got for the car if i had know.. its actually cheaper.
