F30 Coding

If your car is still under motorplan you can have it done at a dealership. They get an unlock code and then they do it. Even if your car is updated it will remain off when selected off and on when selected on even after the car has been switched off.

I had mine done at the dealer and my Nephew had his also done at the dealer

Hi,
I thought so, however Northcliff said they can't and BMS SA Facebook said no they do not do it for the fuel emission thing.. blah blah. Maybe I'll try other dealers. Where did you guys get your done ?

Jip I had the same problem. The third dealer knew exactly what to do. My excuse was that I drive in dangerouse areas and if the car fails to start I will hold BMW responsible. And the start stop is very irretating to me at times. Then Firstly the Workshop Forman contacts their technical department and then they send him some code that is valid for 2 to 3 days and the car has to be coded in that time so you will have to leave your car thier.

Now my car remembers my last selection. So technically the start stop is not disabled it just remembers my last selection. It has been done the leagal way and not affect motorplan or affect their feul economy. It seems your wording has to be correct. Do not say disable but start stop must remember your last selection even after the car was switched off

My auto start-stop doesn't actually work. Does anyone know why?
I assume my battery voltage is under some threshold or something?

Yea it's still under plan, I'll ask them next time I need a service. I think I prefer it off anyways.

Hi,
To come back to this, what I'd like to do is, change the following to "last user mode"... that would be cool.
- Auto Start Stop.
- Auto gearbox drive selection (Sport-Comfort-Eco).
- 316 only has Speed limiter.

I can not imagine the Auto start stop saves more fuel (or any) then the Eco drive mode, so do not understand why that is not on default ECO.

The Speed Limiter one needs to activate each time the car is switched off. It is to irritating to activate it each time... so I leave it and thus becomes a useless function.

So ultimately I need to press 3 buttons before driving off... lol... irritating
