F30 brake reset not possible

Hi Guys,
I have a 2014 F30 320i and have replaced the front brakes and the sensor. See attached pics where I can not reset the lights on the dash. When I start it says View attachment 8801drive with caution and replace brake pads.
Yesterday bought another sensor thinking that it might be a faulty sensor and exactly the same thing. Can not reset the dash alarm. I am using the odometer reset method where I press the start button and get into the menu via the odometer button and it says reset not possible.

Anyone experienced a similar problem and how was it resolved.

Thanks,
Claude

Hi, the second one was from Goldwagen and the guy said it’s the original with the stamps but I suppose original would only be from the agent.
Gonna try a software reset with a tool from DSC Motorsport and let’s see if it works

You first need to clear the error then reset the service indicator, I had the same issues a few months back, Danny will sort you out in 5 minutes

If you don't come right, which I highly doubt, I can assist you

I am sure there are some other requirements other than the dashboard reset. On other vehicles I had, VWs etc. Usually clear the code, reset the service indicator and then some combination of ignition turns or door handle motions etc.

Came to me this morning, sorted out the car :smilebounce:

Thank you Danny for the great assistance. I took the F30 and the X5 E70 to Danny and he assisted with pleasure. We picked up a reset issue with the X5 and he took his time to figure out the problem.
Will recommend Danny any day

Hi Guys. I have the same problem with mine not wanting to reset after brake pad and sensor replacement. F30 320d

Anyone around Centurion, Midrand, Greenstone that can assist? I might be wrong, but it seems Danny is no longer active on the forum.

Did you try with handbrake down?

Not sure if applicable to F30 (as it’s using a manual hand brake)….was the issue on F10.

Vince is right, try with the handbrake down. had the same problem with a E89 Z4 35i after replacing the pads and sensor.

if that still doesn't work then reset it via a diagnostic tool that can access the CBS Menu..
