F30 Audio Upgrade

Hi All

I'm new to the BMW world. I bought a F30 320i (MY2012) a few weeks back. The standard audio really sucks. I've been looking around at what can be done to improve this. I'm not looking for the Alphine upgrade kit from BMW (too expensive).

Looking around I've seen there is quite a few options. Has anyone heard of the following brands and whether or not I should avoid them or would be a good recommendation:

Rainbow IL-X4 (Front and Rear)
Blam (Fron and Rear)

I will be looking at just doing the door speakers for now and then when the maintenance plan runs out properly, I will do amp and subs.

Any advice is appreciated.

Welcome.

I've read a couple of reviews on international forums on the Bavsound upgrade and people seem to be generally happy with the result and their service and product.
Won't be cheap though, but it's mostly PnP (removable / MP "friendly") and looks factory.

Be careful not void the MP in the process.

Both blam and rainbow are brilliant. Not sure how they'd perform without a proper amplifier though. Make sure you invest in an Audison bit tenD at least or a processor that unbalancing signal if getting after market amp. FYI my car's factory radio was replaced under MP despite 3 amplifiers, a processor, a sub, and the front stage completely replaced.
