Very very nice car, it does make the E90 look quite old.

PS: Service in 29000km/April 2014? That is a bit crazy right?

The order tracking on www.bmw.co.za this morning indicates that there are no more bolts left in the bucket. My car is at the distribution centre and just needs to get delivered to the dealership.

I am going to fly up to JHB to take delivery from Auto Alpina in Springs. Looking forward to driving back over two days. This time will me a chance to spend some quality time with my new baby whilst running in the engine.

I will update this post along the way to share my experience with you guys.

:joy::joy::joy:

:joy::joy::joy::joy: Congrats- now start the mods :=):

Why is your speedo only to 260 kph instead of 280 like the E90?

I guess yours is closer to true speed, Mine runs over the 260 on the clocks when I hit 250 on the GPS

Just wondering, but seriously nice car:thumbs:

I have noticed the number varies between 29000 and 31000 kilometres. Date seems to remain constant. I believe it adjusts accordingly to ensure the car is taken in at the right time for a service.

This baby won't enjoy any mods now or in the future. Sometime in the near future I will probably get myself a car to play with. Keen to look at getting a neat 135i that I can mod to an insane level.

Dude your car looks hot.

I love the entire package. I wonder what happens to that display of kw and torque when you add software to the car.

one of my favourite parts of these cars are the fact that bmw has included a temperature gauge once again. i really miss it on my e90. I think that not including it has made the e90 dash cluster seem a bit small. with the f30, the dash looks lekker and wide.

congrats on a great car.

I agree, it is weird because if the governor is removed she is capable of more than 260 kph. I haven't explored that side of the speedo yet but what I can say is at 100 kph on speed cruise the needle is within 1mm from the 100 kph line.

Also noticed, that when I switch to sport mode the control display torque gauge only shows 400 Nm. With the BMW upgrade the torque is 450 Nm with the sports auto box. Perhaps the software will address this?

The KW gauge already shows 240KW, which is the maximum output with the BMW software installed. There is an image of the gauges further up this post.

Thank you! The KW & Nm gauge max output will probably stay as is unless an aftermarket tuner hacks it.

I am really happy they have included an oil temperature gauge as this is a really practical piece of information to have.

Wow! 31k km is a long service interval!!! :fencelook:

260km/h - limited to 250km/h...

I can understand the 260km/h for SA but in Germany you can have the governor removed and legally drive as fast as this little beast can go... Surely this is somewhat more than 260kph?

True - probably closer to the 300km/h mark with software and mods...

Just had a look at some youtube vids that I downloaded a while ago showing the acceleration runs for an E34 540i manual and an E34 M5, then an E39 540i Manual and an E39 M5 - the speedometers were marked as follows, 260km/h, 300km/h and then 240km/h (but 250km/h line) and 300km/h. So tends to vary...

The Anthracite roof lining looks nice, maybe a bit dark. I actually like the standard roof lining in mine - it is a bit darker than it used to be in the E90.

Your dials at night looks a bit more orange than mine, mine is red.

No "sports display" on the 320d :thumbdo:

April 2014 is a long time away...My service interval is 15000km 10/2013.
