Wow, that must have been extremely exciting and enjoyable!! Looks fantastic Law! Cannot wait to see her in the flesh! Can of course disable the Stop/Start function, but think you have to do this each time you start your journey...

Congratulations, your car looks great. Glad your dad could share that moment with you

Thank you. I am very blessed to be able to share this with my family. My dad appreciates cars and we spent some quality time together. May have instigated another 335i purchase :in-love:

It was also cool showing my 84+ year old grandparents the comfort access feature that opens the boot. Had to demo it a couple of times :=):

Thanks. I am not very partial to a sunroof or rag top as I think they both affect the aesthetics of the car too much. Also, wouldn't use it much / at all. Just my opinion though...

Have you driven it to Cape Town yet?

We left Joburg at around 10:20 this morning for Cape Town. The road was dead quiet and I was able to maintain constant speeds for long periods of time, which I varied quite often (90 to 120 km/h). I am taking care and breaking in the engine gradually. The odometer tipped 800 kilometres as we drove into Colesberg earlier :=):

We need to drive another 790 kilometres tomorrow, which will take me to my first 1000 kilometre milestone. As per what the manual says I am going to take it easy for the first 2000 kilometres before gradually introducing more spirited driving  This trip has really given me the opportunity to get to grips with what this car has to offer. Yes, that is on the technology and not performance side of things :innocent: I will consolidate my experience into a long post, with images, once I get home and feel more rested.
