Hi Guys

I have been getting mixed responses from several people and i`m new to the diesel game. i would like to know if its possible to fit a down pipe only without software on a F30D without getting limp mode or any issues. later on i will go software but for now just wanna do down-pipe.

regards

yes you can run a DP without software or any issues on your car, with just a DP with no software you will gain a nicer tone, a slight increase in throttle response and power and slightly better fuel economy. once software is done you will see a much greater improvement in the above.

Thank you gentlemen i believe this is correct info for the F30 and will allow me to do things in stages. Now i must get recommendations around Pretoria to do this. :ty::ty:

I know it's not in Pretoria, but the guys at PowerFlow Randburg do a fantastic job.

I think there's a PowerFlow in Centurion as well but I haven't heard anything about them.

Enjoy man

I had a DP on my E90 330d for bout 3 months before I got SW.

I cant believe the technicalities can be that much different, as the gents above have advised - no issues.

Please keep us informed how it goes and who does it. I intend to do the same at some point next year with a DP only without software on my F30 330d.

Powerflow Randburg
Tmss Motorsport
Rogue Performace
X-Flow
Etc.

All of these places have been used by forum members and most seem to be happy.

Maybe phone around, compare pricing and then pull the trigger.

Out of curiosity, what happens to the cars DPF regeneration cycle? Does it take exhaust flow into account and not do it again?

Some of the overseas cars have extra parts that are not there in our SA cars hence some of the info of DPF`s from overseas forums isnt relevant
